Thelma Pratt

Mrs. Thelma Katherine Chriswell Pratt, 85, of Resaca, passed away, Monday April 20, 2015 at the residence.

She was the daughter of the late, Matthew and Linnie Coffee Chriswell and was also preceded in death by her husband, Ed Pratt; brother, Sherman Chriswell; sisters, Cleora Chriswell and Lela Estes; grandchild, Mark Pratt; daughter-in-law, Wilma Pratt.

Thelma was a longtime member of Church of God of the Union Assembly, with 48 years in the Atlanta Church.

She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Thelma is survived by her children and their spouses, Janet and Harold Parker of Marietta, Douglas and Phyllis Pratt of Knoxville and Tommy and Kay Pratt of Resaca; sisters and brother-in-law, Dovie and Gene Brinson of Florida, Jean Barrnett and Dimple Chriswell both of Smynra, GA; grandchildren, Lisa Benesh, Kelcey Pratt, Lea Stuart, Markis Pratt, Chris Pratt, Katherine Paul and Natalia Pratt; 10 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 11 AM Thursday from the Church of God of the Union Assembly with the Rev. Charlie Bell and the Rev. Charlie Pratt, III officiating.

Burial will follow in West Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5 until 9 PM.
