Lillian Edwards

Mrs. Lillian Elizabeth Gilliland Edwards, 87, of Dalton passed away peacefully on Friday, May 1, 2015.

She was the daughter of the late Albert and Jessie Gilliland and was preceded in death by her husband, William Howard Edwards; son, Roger Allen Edwards; brothers, Harold C. Gilliland and Talmadge L. Gilliland.

Lillian was born in Chamber County, AL on September 19, 1927. She was a graduate of Dalton High School and an active member of Eastside Baptist Church. Lillian lived by her faith and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She supported her sons and served her community all her life. She retired from PatCraft.

Lillian is survived by her son, William Terry Edwards of Dalton; grandsons, Matthew Robin Edwards and Christopher Mark Edwards both of Texas; granddaughter, Brooklyn Renee Edwards; several nieces and nephews; close friends, Teresa Beene of Ft. Oglethorpe and Vicki Black of Winston Salem, NC.

Funeral services will be at 3 PM on Sunday in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home.

Burial will follow in West Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Sunday from 1 until 3 PM.
