John Kenemer

Mr. John Burle Kenemer, 87, of Dalton, GA departed this life on Saturday, May 2, 2015, at Hamilton Medical Center. He was born on April 5, 1928, in Dalton and was preceded in death by his parents, the late Gertrude Broome Kenemer and Troy Bivings Kenemer and brother, Troy James Kenemer. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Vivian Wofford Kenemer, of Dalton; daughter, Kim Kenemer King (Tom) of Morganton, GA; son, John Bradley "Brad" Kenemer (Elizabeth "Liz") of Auburn, AL; granddaughter, Jessica Lauren Kenemer; sister, Martha Earle Shepard, of Dalton and several nieces and nephews; step-granddaughter, Michele Hicks; step-son, Mike King; step-daughter, Pam Plott (Scott); and step-great grandchildren, Savannah King, Dawson Hicks, Hailey Hicks, Hope Hicks, Hayden Hicks, Megan Vaupell, and Elliott Vaupell. John was a dedicated member of ChristChurch Presbyterian of Dalton where he served as a deacon. He was a member of the Dalton Elks Lodge. A memorial service celebrating John's life will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2015, at ChristChurch Presbyterian in Dalton at 1:00 PM. The family will receive friends following the service in the vestibule of the church.
