Barbara Ford

Barbara Lane Ford, 84, departed this life Monday, May 4, 2015 at Transitional Health Services of Kannapolis, North Carolina.

Barbara was born December 29, 1930 to the late Haney S. and Lois F. Elrod of Ringgold, Georgia. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Jerry Lane and Raymond Ford and her sons, Steven B. Lane and Gregory H. Lane.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Cristy Diane Lane, Leslie Lane and Danny Lane. Also surviving are her brothers and sisters-in-law, Raymond (Susan) Elrod of Dalton, Georgia and Richard (Suzanne) Elrod of Ringgold, Georgia.

Several aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews also survive.

At Barbara’s request her body will be donated to the University of North Carolina Medical School. A private memorial service will be announced at a later date.
