Betty Maeger

Mrs. Betty J. Maeger, 77, of Dalton, passed away Sunday, January 25, 2009 at The Health Care Center at Standifer in Chattanooga.
She was the daughter of the late, Forrest and Nannie Malone Knight and was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Bruce Parker.
Betty is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Jack Maeger of Dalton; daughter, Janice Parker of Dalton; son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Rita Maeger of Dalton; grandchildren, Kari and Michael Plavich, Matthew Parker and his fiancé, Esther Lannu, and Cody Baker; great-grandson, Isaac Plavich; sister, Jeanette Chalkley of Jacksonville Beach, FL.; brother and sister-in-law, James and Janice Maeger of Cohutta; nieces also survive.
Services will be Wednesday at 2 P.M. in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Rhoda Howell officiating.
Burial will follow in West Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Tuesday from 5 to 8 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 901 Veterans Dr., Dalton, Ga. 30721 or to the American Cancer Society, 300 W. Emery St., Suite 106, Dalton, Ga. 30720.
