Martha Grooms

Mrs. Martha Carden Grooms, 74, of Dalton passed away Monday, June 22, 2015 at Hamilton Medical Center.

She was the daughter of the late Samuel Carden and Ada Markum Ferguson and was preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Grooms.

Martha is survived by her loving husband, Richard Grooms of Dalton; children, Crystal Grooms Slade of Knoxville, TN, Sharon and Carl Bradford, and Richard Grooms Jr. all of Dalton; grandchildren, Christopher and Kaila Slade, Jordan Jackson, Dylan Grooms, Yessenia Grooms, Justin Jackson and Brandy Bradford; great-grandchildren, Nicholas Slade, Peyton Slade, Emily Slade and Emma Grooms; brother, Virgil Carden of Chapel Hill, NC; nieces and nephews.

The family would like to say a special thanks to Hamilton Hospice nurses and staff for their care and compassion.

Memorial services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at the Riverbend Church of Christ with Tyler Gilreath officiating.
