Jerry Johnson

Mr. Jerry “Hacksaw” Johnson, 60, of Dalton, passed away, Friday June 26, 2015 at his residence after battling cancer.

He was the son of the late Melvin and Ida Johnson and was preceded in death by his brothers, James Whaley and Hoyt Whaley.

Jerry was a member of South Dalton Baptist and loved his family, friends and the Lord. He loved to make people laugh, sing and race remote control cars. His presence will truly be missed.

He is survived by his wife, Deanne Johnson of the residence; son and daughter-in-law, Melvin and Tanedia Johnson of Chatsworth; grandchildren, Kersty McClain and Zoey Johnson; cousins, nieces, nephews and his beloved pets, Pookey, Coco, Scruffy and Roscoe.

Funeral services will be Monday at 3 p.m. at South Dalton Baptist Church with the Rev. Robby Dunn officiating. Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home on Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m.
