Marie Mckenzie

Mrs. Marie Hammond McKenzie, 92, of Dalton, GA. and formerly of Rome, GA., died Saturday, January 31, 2009 at Regency Park Health Care.
She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, John McKenzie; a young son, John “Jr.” McKenzie; father and mother, Benjamin and Ester Hammond; brother, Roy D. Hammond and sisters, Virginia H. Killion and Marjorie H. Williams.
Marie is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Barbara McKenzie of Dalton, Jerre and Gwen McKenzie of Birmingham, AL.; grandchildren, Stephanie and Lee Lewis of Ringgold, GA., Mark McKenzie of Tunnel Hill, GA., Michelle Trulove of Birmingham, AL., Kim George of Mobile, AL. and Jason McKenzie of Birmingham, AL.; great-grandchildren, Daniel and Rebecca Lewis, Ben and Sam Trulove, McKenzie and Ryan George; sisters-in-law, Eula Jo Shiflett of Asheville, NC. and Betty McKenzie of Conyers, GA.; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be Monday at 11 A.M. in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Flanagan officiating.
Burial will follow in Eastview Cemetery in Rome, GA.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home from 10 A.M. until the funeral at 11.
The family asks that flowers please be omitted and memorials be made to the First Baptist Church of Dalton, P.O. Box 827, Dalton, Ga. 30722.
