Essie Ritchey

Mrs. Essie Ritchey, 90, of Dalton passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at Hamilton Medical Center.

She was the daughter of the late George Robinson and Dora Young Robinson and was preceded in death by her husband, Joel F. “Jim” Ritchey.

Essie retired from Hackney Shoe Shop and she was an avid bowler, bowling locally and also in State and National Competitions.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Delyn and James Ellis of Dalton; son and daughter-in-law, Lane and Betty Ritchey of Dalton; son, Stephen Vismore of Dalton; grandson and wife, Justin and Danielle Ritchey of Eton; sister and brother-in-law, Juanita and John Massingill of Cartersville; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bob Robinson of Spring Place, Monte Ray and Jeanelle Robinson of Gainesville, GA, Jack and Pat Robinson of Anna, TX; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Robinson officiating.
Burial will be in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m.
