Wilbur "Buddy" K. Newman, Jr.

Mr. Wilbur K. “Buddy” Newman, Jr., 69, of Dalton, passed away Thursday, February 5, 2009 at Hamilton Medical Center.
He was the son of the late, Wilbur K. “Bud” Newman, Sr. and Margaret McKnight Newman.
Buddy was a veteran of the United States Army and he had degrees in engineering from Georgia Tech and an MBA from Georgia State University. He lived the last years of his life at Quinton Memorial Nursing Home.
He is survived by his daughter, Ingrid Newman of Bogart, GA.; son, Michael Newman of California; sister, Doris Franklin of Jasper, GA.; grandchildren, Holly, Austin and Libby Newman and Grace and Charles McCorkle; niece, Lori Davis and her children.
Funeral services will be 1 P. M. Monday in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with Dr. Joe Peabody officiating.
Burial will follow in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home immediately following the service.
