Mrs. Janniveve Quarles Miller died Wednesday, August 18, 2015 at Ridgewood Manor where she had lived for the past four and a half years.
Born August 7, 1919, she was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Laura Quarles, by her first husband Johnnie Clement, her second husband Tommy Miller, brother H. L. Quarles, son Jerry Clement, and niece Peggy Quarles.
She is survived by her granddaughter April Reed of Summerville, two great-granddaughters, Heather Reed (Jeff Matheny) of Edgewater, FL and Lauren Reed of the United States Air Force, one great-great-grandson Jordan Matheny of Edgewater, FL, nephew Danny Quarles, and special friend Dot McCrory.
A lifelong resident of North Dalton, Janniveve worked at the hosiery mill until it closed, at Crown Cotton Mill until it closed, and finished her working career at Shaw. Baptist by faith, she was baptized in Mill Creek in 1935 at the age of 16. She was an active member of Mt. Rachel Baptist Church for over 60 years and in later years joined RockBridge Community Church which she attended as often as she could.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour at 11 a.m.
