Mr. Jack Moody Stacy, Sr., 71, of Dalton, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, February 25, 2006 in the Life Care Center in Chattanooga, Tn.
He was the son of the late, William Claude Stacy, Sr. and Willie Irene Parks and was preceded in death by his loving brothers, William Claude Stacy, Jr., Jefferson Stacy; loving sisters, Ora Zaba Joseph, Jewell Willene Johnson and Eva Mae Osborne; special son-in-law, Jason Alan Speck; Nephew, Matthew Dean Stacy; brother-in-law, William H. “Bill” Allmon.
He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force , serving from 1953 to 1957 during the Cuban Missile Crisis.
Jack was a member of a band called the Swing Masters back in the 1960’s and was an avid Mandolin player and was a Mechanical Engineer Draftsman. He was a beloved and devoted Father, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather.
He is survived by his Dearest friend and the mother of his children, Iva Jean Stacy of Dalton.
One son, Jack Moody Stacy, Jr. of Dalton.
Two daughters and sons-in-law, Mercedes and Harold Jackson, Jeanette and Ronnie Meyers all of Dalton.
Two brothers and sisters-in-law, Marvin and Sally Stacy , Lamar and Julie Stacy all of Dalton.
One sister, Sue Allmon of Dalton.
One sister-in-law,Pauline Stacy of California, One Brother-in-law, John Osborne of Michigan.
Grandchildren, April Speck Parker, Samuel Adam Stacy, Brandy Nicole Meyers and Heather Lynn Meyers.
Great-Grandchildren, Callum Austin Speck, Jason Alan Speck, Izak Jackson, Lexus Bell Stacy and our little Angel touched by God, sent down from heaven. Oh, How Papaw loved you. She was a blessing to him. Our beautiful, Isabella Alexandria Parker.
Several Nieces, nephews and cousins.
Special friends, Fred Stover and his family, Norma Jean Meyers Thomason, Jason Parker and Jamie Garner.
Services will be Wednesday at 2 P.M. in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Cofield and the Rev. George Ross officiating.
Burial will follow in Center Point Baptist Church Cemetery with American Legion Post #112 having graveside rites.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Tuesday from 5 to 9 P.M.
