Mrs. Kathryn Land Jennings, 89, of Dalton, passed away Friday September 11, 2015 at Hamilton Medical Center.
She was the daughter of the late, Earl F. Land, Sr. and Mattie Talley Land. She was preceded in death by her husband John Bentley (J.B.) “Red” Jennings; brothers, Earl Land, Jr., Herman Land and an infant brother; sister Frances Denman.
Kathryn was a long time member of the Dalton First Baptist Church. She was a hospice volunteer at Hamilton Medical Center and a regular volunteer for many years.
Katheryn was a loving and caring wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, neighbor and friend.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Reynold and Patsy Jennings of Kennesaw, Vernon and Glynda Jennings of Dalton, Darrell Jennings of Dalton and Bruce and Rhonda Jennings of Cohutta; sisters, Grace Whaley and Dot Richardson both of Dalton; 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; special nephew Jerry Land.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home on Monday from 10 a.m. until noon.
Funeral services will be private.
