James Brock

Mr. James Paul Brock, 93, of Dalton, passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2015.

He was the son of the late, Jim and Rosa Campbell Brock and was preceded in death by his twin sister, Pauline Brock Johnson; brothers, Howard Brock, Roscoe Brock and J.D. Brock.

James was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of Olivia Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Compton Brock of Dalton; daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Herbert Blackstock and Carolyn and Perry Blackstock all of Calhoun; grandsons, Randy Blackstock and Scott (Gina) Blackstock; special friends, Donnie and Joyce Flowers of Dalton; nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Funeral services will at 1 p.m. Friday in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with Dr. Ray Bearden, Dr. David Dickerson and The Rev. Bruce Beach officiating.

The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m.

Burial will follow in Whitfield Memorial Gardens with the American Legion Post # 112 in charge of military honors, with Scott Blackstock, Randy Blackstock, Donnie Flowers, Richard Brock, Harvey Blackstock and Glen Stephens serving as pallbearers.
