Mr. Thomas Jefferson Carden, Jr., 76, of Dalton passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2015. He was the son of the late Thomas and Maxine Worley Carden. Jeff was a member of First Baptist Church of Dalton and a member of the pastor's Sunday school class. He owned and operated Jeff Carden Sawmill. Jeff is survived by his sisters, Katy Carden of Rocky Face, Carol Walker of Rocky Face, Janice (Richard) Gragg of Chatsworth, Candace Deal of Dalton, and Deborah Carden of Birmingham, AL; brothers, Eli (Brenda) Carden of Rocky Face and Johnny (Leesa) Carden of Calhoun; 17 nieces and nephews; 31 great nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Jeff will be at 3 PM on Saturday in the Chapel of First Baptist Church of Dalton with Rev. Phillip Cannon and Dr. Billy Nimmons officiating. Burial will follow in West Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Saturday from 1 until 3 PM in the atrium of the church.
