Mark Pace

Mr. Mark Pace, 101, of Dalton, GA passed away Sunday, October 11, 2015 at his residence.

He was born in Wauchula, FL (1914), son of the late Linton Walter Pace and Bertha Close Pace. He had been a member of the Dalton First Baptist Church since November 1st, 1945.

Mark was preceded in death by his loving wife, Alva Tyler Pace in 2007 and is survived by his two daughters, Peggy Pace Smith of Dalton and Patsy Pace of Birmingham, AL; grandchildren, Danny Westfall of Dalton, Dr. Mark Westfall and Darby of Birmingham, AL, Stanton and Jeannie Smith of Signal Mountain, TN; great-grandchildren, Chase Westfall, Dylan Westfall, Adam Westfall, Mia Smith and Abby Smith; nieces, nephews and all his family of Rucky Drive neighbors; his caregivers, Angie Cowart, Brandy Ixquiac, Melanie Sanders and Rose Abston; close friends, Ron Hutchins, Danny Langford and Frank Patterson, Jr.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 PM at the Dalton First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Bill Ireland, the Rev. Dr. Billy Nimmons, the Rev. Phillip Cannon and the Rev. Larry Flanagan officiating.

A PRIVATE family graveside service will follow at Whitfield Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends in the atrium of the church Wednesday from noon to 2 PM.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the Dalton First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 827, Dalton, GA 30722-0827 or to RossWoods Adult Day Health Services, 1402 Walston Ave. Dalton, GA 30721.
