Earl D. Ogle, 81, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away Thursday, October 15, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family. Earl was born February 22, 1934 in Dalton, Georgia to Cam and Dicie Ogle. Earl graduated from Pleasant Grove High School in 1951. On April 1, 1956 he married Jackie Brown in Dalton, Georgia. He was a veteran of the Korean War. He retired from Shaw Industries after 40 years. Earl loved spending time with his family, attending church, wood working, and bluegrass music. Survivors include his wife Jackie of 59 years, children and their spouses, Lane and Teresa Ogle of Dalton, Lisa and Ray Rynes of Dalton; grandchildren, Morgan and Craig Alexander, Dustin and Sara Shaw, Holly and Josh Robinson, Lance Ogle, Crystal Bartlett, and Marc Redwine Jr.; great- grandchildren, Jeremiah Shaw, Kenley Bartlett, Aiden Hawkins, Jude Shaw, Gavin Robinson, and Aubrey Robinson; brothers, Bruce, George, and Junior Ogle; sisters, Pauline Caldwell and Mildred Sneed and other nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Cam and Dicie Ogle. His brothers and sisters Whalice Lacey, Lilian Pefley, Charlie Ogle, and Richard Ogle. Friends and loved ones may visit from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., Saturday at Love Funeral Home. The services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, October 17, at Temple Baptist Church at 2310 South Dixie Highway, Dalton, Georgia 30720. Pastor Bret Yaeger will be officiating. Burial will follow at Whitfield Memorial Gardens in Dalton with Military Honors by American Legion Post 112.
