Kathleen Keith Rann Perkins

Mrs. Kathleen Keith Rann Perkins, age 93, of Rome Georgia, passed away in a Summerville, Georgia care facility on November 3, of complications following a stroke.

Mrs. Perkins was born in Dalton, Georgia, April 25, 1922, daughter of the late Alonzo McTier Keith and Suzie King Keith. In 1937 at age 15, Mrs. Perkins was crowned Miss Whitfield County, an award of which she was always proud. She was an avid bridge player, loved to travel and a strong advocate for women’s rights.

Ms. Perkins was retired from a 27-year career with the National Bank of Georgia in Atlanta. She moved to Rome, GA, where she was a 30-year member of the Cave Spring United Methodist Church, the Cave Spring Ruritan Club and the Democratic Party of Georgia.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Perkins was preceded in death by her husbands, W.F. (Bill) Rann and Edward Eugene Perkins, her son, Arthur Keith Rann, and her brothers, A. Mac Keith and Samuel C. Keith.

Survivors include her daughter, Krista Rann Williford of Fayetteville, GA and husband Mack, her daughter, Kathleen “Kathie” Rann Disney of Summerville, GA and husband Desmond, 4 grandchildren, Jody Law, Jennifer Law Seeby, Ragon Disney Crabtree, and Ellen Disney Youngblood, and 7 great-grandchildren, Drew Davis, Shelby Law, Benjamin, Meghan and Katelyn Seeby, and Paige and Ayden Crabtree.

Services will be held at 1 PM on Thursday, November 5, 2015 in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with Reverend Dr. John Page officiating.

Burial will be in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
