Mrs. Routh Hill Cline, 84, of Dalton died peacefully Friday morning at Hamilton Medical Center.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Lawrence L. Cline; her mother, Alice Routh Hill and her father, Mr. Louie Sanders Hill all of Dalton.

Mrs. Cline is survived by her two sons, W. Terry Cline, Michael L. Cline and his wife Brenda all of Dalton, and her daughter, Gene Cline of Boulder, CO; she is also survived by her two loving grandsons, Matthew Cline of Dalton and Luka Cline of Atlanta and her two dear granddaughters, Ginger Cline of Troy, AL. and Lorri Cline of New York; also surviving is her sister, Mrs. Helen Hill Groves of Dalton and her daughter, Mrs. Brenda Hill Russell and husband Bradford Russell of Dalton.

Routh’s life was highlighted by her love of fine art and was a noted artist working in oils, water and pastels. She received her Master’s in art from UTC Chattanooga. Routh treasured her family relationships and time. She was a natural born artist who loved and appreciated beauty and life without fail.

A memorial for Routh will be held at a later date.
