Mr. John Kilp, 79, of Dalton, passed away Friday, March 20, 2009.
Born in New York City on June 13, 1929, he was the son of the late, Mary and John Kilp and was preceded in death by his wife, Gelsomina (Jessie) Kilp.
He had a long career in the carpet industry as a Contract Sales Manager in New York, Chicago and Dalton; was a resident of Dalton for over 25 years, where he attended St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and proudly served in the United States Army from 1951 thru 1953.
John is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Moonhee of Greensboro, NC., Stanley of Myrtle Beach, SC.; daughter and son-in-law, Virginia and Kyle fo Greenville, SC.; grandchildren, Jessica, Jin and Nicholas.
Graveside services will be held Saturday at 10 A.M. at West Hill Cemetery with Monsignor William Hoffman officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Amercian Cancer Society, 300 W. Emery St., Suite 106, Dalton, Ga. 30720 or to one’s favorite charity.
