William Carl Poteet

Mr. William Carl Poteet, 81, of Dalton passed away Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Hamilton Medical Center. He was the son of the late Marion Davis Poteet and Beulah Owenby Poteet. Carl was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a member and deacon at the Dalton First Baptist Church and was the owner of Custom Coating, Inc. and Healthier Choice Flooring. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Walls Poteet of Dalton Georgia; son, Craig Wayne Poteet and his wife Julie Adams Poteet;  grandsons, Adam Connor Poteet and Jonathan Cole Poteet of Cartersville, Georgia; sisters, Syble Walls of Chatsworth and DeEtte Duncan of Dalton; brothers, David Poteet and Harold Poteet both of Chatsworth. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Dalton First Baptist Church with Dr. Bill Ireland, Dr. Billy Nimmons and the Rev. Phillip Cannon officiating.
