Gordon Neal Kirk

Mr. Gordon Neal Kirk, 89, formerly of Dalton, passed away Tuesday December 8, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital in Bartlett, TN.

Gordon was born January 6, 1926 to the late Troy and Margaret Kirk and was preceded in death by his wife Dera Ann Kirk; brothers, Willard Kirk, R.E. Kirk and Troy Griffin Kirk; sisters, Lillian Kirk and Margaret Kirk Parker; niece Sandra Kirk and nephew Jerry Kirk.

Gordon graduated from Valley Point High School in 1944, a week after graduation he joined the Armed forces. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served during World War II. He was a career truck driver, and drove for many different companies and retired from Roadway Trucking of Tennessee.

Gordon is survived by his children and their spouses, Rodney Kirk of Lakeland, TN, Patti and Frank Cale, Chip and Julie Kirk and Jeff Kirk all of Dalton; stepson and stepdaughter-in-law, Barry and Pat Pate of Eads, TN; grandchildren, Rhonda Kirk, Michael Faulkenberry, Tiffany Kirk, Stephanie Kirk, Elizabeth Kirk, Elaina Cale and Alan Kirk; step grandchild, Austin Pate; nieces, Barbara Kirk Weaver and Diane Kirk; nephews, Tommy Joe Kirk, Doug Kirk, Ronnie Kirk and Michael Kirk.

Memorial visitation will be Friday, December 18, 2015 at Love Funeral Home from 5 to 7 p.m.
