Mary Sue Michael

Mary Sue Segars Michael of Rocky Face joined her Savior, husband A Michael, son David Michael, parents; Ralph & Bernice Segars; brothers Kenneth, Tom, Eugene, Ralph (Bud) Segars; great grandson Austin Duckworth and numerous aunts and uncles, family and friends in her forever home. Mary Sue and A were married as teenagers and were married 48 years until his death in 1994. She is survived by siblings Betty Rogers Gregory, Kathy (Jimmy) Teasely, Charles (Krista) Segars; sisters-in-law Mrs Ralph (Eva) Segars, Mrs Tom (Charlotte) Segars, Mrs Martha Edna Ridley; Daughter and son-in-law Raymond and Lynda Palmer; daughter in law Mrs David (Susan) Michael; Grandchildren and their spouces Michael (Jennifer) Palmer, Amanda (Tim) Tucker, Beth (Mark) Jones, Benjamin (Ashley) Palmer, Emily (Brent) Bagby; Great greandchildren, J.T and Michaela Tucker, Hayden Johnson, Jacob and Daniel Fiame, Forrest, Adeline and David Michael Jones. Since her early years, her family was the focus of her life. She was active in the lives of A and her children Lynda and David. However, none would doubt the grandchildren and great grandchildren brought her the most joy, widest smile and twinkle to her eyes. Many of her recipes and traditions continue through the generations. Granny Sue was gracious and generous. She was considerate of her family as she made decisions often putting the well being of others before her’s. Mary Sue was a long-time member of Fellowship Baptist Church of Rocky Face . She and A were at Fellowship during the ministry of their son, the late Pastor David Michael, the late Pastor Melvin Dixion as well as current Pastor Chuck Harmon. Prior to their service at Fellowship the late Pastor Erwin Crider at Rocky Face Baptist Church was their beloved Pastor. The service to celebrate the life of Mary Sue Segars Michael will be Tuesday the 22nd day of December, 2015 at 6 p.m. from Fellowship Baptist Church with Pastor Chuck Harmon and Rev Raymond Palmer officiating. Family will receive friends family from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Monday the 21st of December, 2015 at Loves Funeral Home, Dalton, GA.
