Mr. Ron Arnold, 73, of Dalton passed away Thursday, December 24, 2015 at his residence.

He was a veteran of the United States Marines and was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Margaret Clanton Arnold.

Ron was a legendary broadcaster and a pioneer in the cable television industry. Ron was often referred to as a modern day PT Barnum.

He is survived by his loving wife, Faye Lowery Arnold of Dalton; sons, Jim Arnold of Nashville, TN. and Ron Arnold II of Dalton; daughter and son-in-law, Cheri and Terry Crump of Chatsworth; grandchildren, Lance Corporal Ben Crump and his wife Kim of Camp Lejeune, NC. and Hunter Arnold of Nashville; great-grandsons, John Edward and William; sister and brother-in-law, Susan Arnold Black and her husband Mike of Marshall, TX; also surviving are brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ronald and Clara Lowery, David and Martha Lowery; nieces and nephews along with many friends.

The family would like to thank Hamilton Hospice as well as Dr. William McKay and his staff and Dr. S. Neguib and his staff and all of those who offered prayers during his illness.

Funeral services will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the St. Mark’s Episcopal Church with the Rev. V. Beth Royalty and the Rev. Bob Leopold officiating.

Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends in the Parrish Hall of the church on Monday from 12 to 1:30 p.m.
