Roy Grant

Mr. Roy Grant, 91, of Dalton passed away Monday, December 28, 2015 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was the son of the late, Loze and Minnie Talley Grant and was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Gentry Grant and brothers and sisters. Roy was a member at Temple Baptist Church. He is survived by his children and their spouses, Ted Grant of Dalton, Wanda Carlock of Plymouth, MI, Sandra Rackley of Dalton, Randy and Vickie Grant of Crandall, Stoney and Anglia Grant of Dalton, Juanita Gentry-Menard, Allen and Frieda Grant and Chery and Tommy Foster all of Dalton, Joy and David Doyle of Memphis, TN; sister, Barbara Kilgore of Lyerly, GA; 19 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday from Temple Baptist Church with the Rev. Brett Yeager officiating. He will lie-in-state at the Church on Thursday from 11a.m. until the service time at 1 p.m. Burial will be in United Memorial Gardens with American Legion Post #112 in charge of graveside rites.
