Mrs. Vivian Wofford Kenemer, 85, of Dalton, GA, departed this life on Friday, January 15, 2016.
She was born on September 14, 1930, in Dalton and preceded in death by her parents, the late Ruth Meadows Wofford and Floyd Wofford; brother, Vance Wofford; and her husband of 67 years, John Burle Kenemer.
She is survived by her daughter, Kim King (Tom) of Morganton, GA; son, Brad Kenemer (Liz) of Auburn, AL; granddaughter, Jessica Kenemer; sister, Patty Wofford Marshall, of Dalton and several nieces and nephews; step-granddaughter, Michele Hicks; step-grandson, Mike King; step-granddaughter, Pam Plott (Scott); and step-great grandchildren, Savannah King, Dawson Hicks, Hailey Hicks, Hope Hicks, Hayden Hicks, Megan Vaupell, and Elliott Vaupell.
Vivian was a dedicated member of ChristChurch Presbyterian Church of Dalton. After her retirement from Dalton City Schools, she served in several volunteer organizations, including Meals on Wheels and DOC-UP: Dalton Organization of Churches United for People.
A memorial service celebrating Vivian’s life will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2016, at ChristChurch Presbyterian Memory Garden in Dalton at 1:00 pm. The family will welcome friends immediately after in the church.
Donations may be made to Heartlite Hospice Care at 1011 Abutment Road Suite 108 Dalton, GA 30721 in lieu of flowers.
