Alva Albertson

Mrs. Alva Joyce Albertson, 68, of Dalton, passed away Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Hamilton Medical Center.

She was the daughter of the late, Arthur and Betty Elkins Joyce and was preceded in death by her first husband, Franklin Danny Smith.

Alva loved her grand kids and taking care of her horses.

She is survived by her husband, Bennie Albertson of Dalton; children and their spouses, Scott and Laura Smith, Kellie and Chaz Olson, Lorie and Steve Harden, Sharon and Duck Roberts, Chuck Albertson and Stephanie Albertson all of Dalton; brother and sister-in-law, Rev. John and Cynthia Souther of Villanow; grandchildren, Jeremy Harden, Shana Grishim, Austin Olson, Eli Harden, Erin Harden, Hunter Olson, Lexi Smith, Jesus Rodriquez, Greyson Roberts, Arian Rodriquez, Kadee Roberts, Harley Albertson, Ryleigh Albertson, Brody Smith, Alina Neely, Stryker Olson, Teagan Allmond, and Ollie Olson; great-grandchildren, J. J. Harden, Emmalyn Harden Taft Harden, Nate Grishim and Noah Grishim; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m.
