Mr. Robert K. Maples, 79, of Dalton, died peacefully Saturday, March 25, 2006 surrounded by his family at Ridgewood Nursing Home as a result of Alzheimer’s disease.
He was the son of the late, Willard and Mary Trotter Maples and was preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia Harvestine “Harvey” Maples; daughter-in-law, Cindy Manis Maples; brothers, Roy Maples, Wendell Maples and Oliver Maples.
Robert was a devoted husband, father, brother, and grandfather.
He retired from the Dalton Coca-Cola Bottling Company in 1990 after 42 years of dedicated service.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Marsene and Larry Lindsay of Dalton.
Son and daughter-in-law, Kenn and Kim Maples of Rocky Face.
Broter and sister-in-law, Lyman and Ann Maples of Cohutta.
Grandchildren, Amy Maples and fiancé Nick Poe, Wesley Maples and Patton Hunt.
Nieces and nephews.
Services will be Tuesday at 11 A. M. in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Phillip Cannon and the Rev. Shanon Hayes officiating.
Burial will follow in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Monday after 6 P.M.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 855 Abutment Rd., Suite 6, Dalton, Ga. 30721.
