Mr. Joseph Cargal, Sr., 86, of Dalton, passed away Sunday, February 21, 2016 at Hamilton Medical Center surrounded by his family. He was the son of the late, Joseph Lafitte Cargal and Lois Cook Cargal, and was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Akins Cargal; brother, Larry Cargal. Joe was a member of Mt. Rachel Baptist Church and was a founding member of the Northwest Georgia Antique Automobile Club of America (NWGAAACA) and also a member of the Model A Ford Club of America (MAFCA). He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Joe Cargal, Jr. and Amanda of Dalton; sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Denton Cole of Dalton; grandchildren, Mackenzie Cargal and Charleigh Cargal; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday (February 24, 2016) in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Marty Greene officiating. Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home on Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. The family requests that flowers please be omitted and memorials be made to Mt.
