Mrs. Dorothy Mae Capehart Cole-Hall, 90, of Rocky Face went to be with her Lord on Saturday, March 12, 2016.
Dorothy was born on September 17, 1925, to the late Crawford C. and Lottie McKeehan Capehart. Dorothy was married for 46 years to the late Jim Franklin Cole of Dalton. She married Dallas Lee Hall of Rocky Face in 2002. God favored Dorothy with two wonderful husbands whom she cherished and loved.
Dorothy spent 24 years working with children in the Dalton Public Schools. On the occasion of her 90th birthday, she was honored for her more than 65 years of service and devotion to her church, Dalton First Church of the Nazarene. Her indefatigable energy and determination were renowned, and shone brightly in everything she did. She loved the Dalton Community, especially her precious Houston Valley; and her heart, energy, and prayers were poured out on those blessed to be her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Dallas Hall; sister, Mary Jo Broadrick (Ralph) of Lewisburg, KS; sisters-in-law, Ozella Cole Witherow, Carolyn Foster Cole, Tina Cole and brother-in-law, Denton (Pat) Cole all of Dalton; sons, Dr. Jim F. Cole Jr. (Jeanne) of Marietta, GA, H. Lawrence Cole (Chris), David C. Cole both of Dalton and step-son, Clayton Hall (JoAnn) of Rocky Face; 7 grandchildren, Josh (Jen) Cole, Jeff (Donna) Cole, Caz Cole, Cali “Olin” Cole Zmarzly, Dave Cole, Kristen (David) Shaw, Lauren (John) Fortney; step-grandchild, Stephanie Gribble; 13 great-grandchildren, 2 step-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Her celebration service will be held on Wednesday, March 16 at 2:00 p.m. at the Dalton First Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Mark Amspaugh officiating.
Interment will follow in West Hill Cemetery.
Visitation for family and friends will be at Love Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 15 from 5 to 8 p.m.
