Eugene Hartley

Mr. Eugene Patrick Hartley, 87, of Dalton, passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at his residence.

He was the son of the late, Will and Pearl Perice Hartley and was preceded in death by his wife Janet Whittle Hartley; sisters, Joyce Hartley and Annie Ruth Fraire.

Eugene loved the outdoors, and was proud of his vegetable garden. He also loved hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Brenda Hartley Cribben and David; son and daughter-in-law, Rickey Hartley and Teresa all of Dalton; brother, Robert Hartley of Sugar Valley; sister, Betty Berong of Tunnel Hill; grandchildren, Amanda Brown Patton, David Hurd, Michael Hurd, Andrew Hartley and Rickey Hartley ll; 14 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Brandan Chastine officiating.

Burial will follow in West Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2 p.m. until the funeral hour at 4:30 p.m.
