Carrie Holsomback

Mrs. Carrie Hester Laster Holsomback, 87, of Dalton, died Friday, May 8, 2009 at her residence.
She was the daughter of the late, John T. Laster and Janie Cleary Laster and was preceded in death by her husband, Joe A. Holsomback in 1972; son, Tommy Lee Holsomback in 1998; and grandchildren, Katie Farmer and Taylor Farmer in 2004.
She was the last charter member of McFarland Hills Baptist Church.
Carrie is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Jane Cook of Flovilla, GA., Sue Davis or Smyrna, GA., JoAnn Jones of Dalton, Charlotte and Larry Maynard of Louisa, KY., and Carrie Anne Holsomback of Dalton; sons and daughter-in-law, Larry and Juanita Holsomback of Dalton, Wayne Holsomback of Villanow, Ga. and Terry Holsomback of Hapeville, GA.; 22 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Bobbie Jo Rolen and Mary Lou Gobble both of Dalton; brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Gloria Laster of Mableton, GA., Frank and Lois Laster, James and Hazel Laster, Jack and Brenda Laster all of Dalton; nieces and nephews.
Services will be Sunday at 3 P.M. from McFarland Hills Baptist Church with the Rev. Ronald Guffey, the Rev. David Eaton and the Rev. Scott Parrish officiating.
Burial will follow in West Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Saturday starting at Noon.
