Maxine Crow

Mrs. Maxine Kephart Crow, 87, of Dalton passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at her residence.

She was the daughter of the late John Mitchell Kephart and Minnie Jones Kephart and was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Ann McCarty; brothers, Ray Kephart and Floyd Kephart; sisters, Ora Lovin, Ann Hopper, Martha Wimpy, Frances Ellison; great-grandson, Ryan Sims and special nephew, Richard Ellison.

Maxine was a longtime member of Liberty Baptist Church Joy Class and a current member of Holly Creek Baptist Church. She retired from Green Spot Market after 25 years. She was always willing to give of anything she had when a need arose. She taught her children three important life lessons: to love God, love each other and work.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Susanne Crow of Eton, David and Brenda Crow, Allen and Carol Crow, Jerry and Brenda Crow all of Dalton; daughter and son-in-law, Ruth and Robert Epps of Dalton; sister, Florence Wade; brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Barbara Kephart; special nephew, Mitchell Ellison; grandchildren, Patrick (Mary) Crow, Chris (Shea) Crow, Scott (Loretta) Crow, Tammy (Jeremy) Duke, Matthew (Brittany) Crow, Stephanie (Mark) Reynolds, Jayme Ballance, Danette Kinzel, Jeremy (Brittany) Crow, Karen McCarty and Amanda Epps; 16 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family would like to say a special thanks to caregivers Deloris Barnett, Danette Kinzel, Carol Miller, Judy Ellison, Hamilton Hospice and Dr. Glenn Boyd and staff for their care of Maxine.

Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with Dr. Danny Cochran officiating.

Burial will be Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home on Thursday from 4:30 to 8 p.m.
