Frances Hackney

Miss Willie Frances Hackney, age 96, of Dalton passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Ridgewood Manor.

She was the daughter of the late Annie Barnard Hackney and J.A. Hackney and was preceded in death by her sisters, Willena Hudgens and Fannie Sue Hackney.

Frances was a member of McGaughey Chapel Church.

She is survived by her sisters, Nora Newton and Eunice Robinson of Dalton; nieces and nephews, Linda Pilcher, Donald Newton, Ronald Newton, Patricia Russell, Steve Hudgens, Samuel Robinson, Kenneth Robinson and Debby Forbus; great and great-great nieces and nephews also survive.

Frances was greatly loved by her family and many friends and neighbors. She was a wonderful person, always willing to help anyone in need, a hard worker, and she loved her family, cooking and flowers.

Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with Dr. Ron McKinney and the Rev. Paul Armstrong officiating.

Burial will follow at Varnell Cemetery.

The visitation will be held prior to the service on Monday from Noon until 2 p.m.
