Duane Chance

Mr. Duane Chance, 83, of Dalton passed away Sunday, May 1, 2016 at his residence.

He was the son of the late John and Ida Whaley Chance and was preceded in death by his brother, David Carl Chance and his aunts and uncles.

Duane graduated from Valley Point High School and was a veteran of the United States Army.

Duane was a hard worker and was loved by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife of 59 1/2 years, Ruby Kirk Chance of the residence; brother, Don Chance of Dalton; God grandchildren, MaKenna Selfors and Aaron Selfors; and cousins.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Leslie Daniels officiating.

Burial will follow in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m.
