Mrs. Tressie Mae Craig Ensley, 100, of Dalton, passed away Saturday, May 14, 2016 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late, Arlie and Martha Magnolia Mull Craig and was preceded in death by her sons, Arlie George Ensley and William Young "W.Y."Ensley; brother, Garnet Craig; sister Nellie Welch and an infant sister. Tressie was a member of Harmony Grove Baptist Church. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Perry Ensley of Dalton, Carl Junior and Marca Ensley of Dalton, Ronnie and Janie Ensley of Chatsworth; daughters and sons-in-laws, Martha and Ronnie Hammons of Dalton and Beverly and Steve Layman of Gruetli-Laager, TN; daughters-in-law, Nora Ensley of Dalton and Eunice Ensley of Chatsworth; brother, Earl Craig of Ducktown, TN; 15 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and 23 great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday from Harmony Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Lamar Beason and the Rev. Crafton Dover officiating. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home on Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. Words of comfort may be sent to the family at www.lovefuneralhomega.com. Love Funeral Home, 1402 N. Thornton Ave., Dalton (across from Hamilton Medical Center) is in charge of arrangements.
