Dorothy Helms

Mrs. Dorothy “Jackie” Bell Helms, 90, of Dalton passed away Saturday, June 18, 2016 at her residence.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Clinton Bell and Curtis Helms; son, Stacy Bell; brothers, Lee Dickerson, Charlie Dickerson and sister, Gladys Gibson.

Jackie was a true example of a Christian lady. She was always ready to help anyone in need. She loved her Lord and family.

She is survived by her children, Clinton Bell Jr. and Wendy Bell of Blaine, WA, Charlie and Patty Bell of Cumming, GA and Regina Bell of Dalton; step-children, Judy Floyd, Joy and Steve Gentry and Elaine Gill all of Dalton; 20 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Church of God of the Union Assembly, 2211 S. Dixie Hwy. Dalton, GA 30720 with the Rev. Charlie Pratt officiating.

Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home on Monday from 5 to 9 p.m. and the body will also lie in state on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until the service at 1 p.m.
