December 26, 1928 — June 30, 2016

Mrs. Bobbie J. Madison Gowin, 87, of the Mt Vernon Community, Rocky Face, passed away Thursday June 30, 2016 at her residence.

She was the daughter of the late, Robert and Marjorie Madison and was preceded in death by her son Robin Scott Gowin; sisters, Dolly Madison Agnello and Harrett Madison.

Bobbie's grandfather was the founder of Western Carolina University. She was very active in her community, she never met a stranger and love golf, cooking, crafts. Bobbie was a multi-talented person who will be missed.

She is survived by her husband James M. "Jim" Gowin of the residence; daughter Bambi Gowin Reigel of Dalton; granddaughter Emma Lee Reigel; son-in-law, Todd R. Reigel of Dalton; nieces and nephews, Jeff Agnello, John Agnello, Ann Carpenter, Bill and Jackie Gowin, Kenny Gowin, Beverly Bates and Brenda Cagle; cousins also survive.

Funeral services will at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Darey Kittle officiating.

Burial will be in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home on Saturday from 10 till 11 a.m.

The family asks that flowers please be omitted and memorials be made to Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church Building Fund, 597 LaFayette Rd, Rocky Face, GA 30740.
