Magdalene Cross

Mrs. Magdalene Welch Cross, 82, of Chatsworth passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at Hospice of Chattanooga. She was the daughter of the late Joe R. Welch and Laura Ensley Welch and was preceded in death by her husband, John L. Cross Jr. and her brothers and sisters. Magdalene was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her children and their spouses, David L. Cross of Dalton, Randy and Glenda Cross of Chatsworth, Debbie and Dewayne Edwards of Dalton, Brenda and Windle Muse of Varnell; sister, Joann Bennett of Chatsworth; brother and sister-in-law, Frankie and Faye Welch of Dalton; grandchildren, Travis (Melissa) Cross, Tina (Jordan) Williams, Matthew Allen, David (Nikki) Peabody Jr, John Peabody, Joshua Peabody and Gabriel Muse; 11 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Bret Yaeger officiating. Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery.
