James M. Woody

Mr. James M. Woody, 64, of Dalton, passed away Saturday July 23, 2016 at his residence.

He was the son of the late, J. B. and Lula Cochran Woody and was preceded in death by his wife, Paula Woody and a brother Lawrence Woody.

James was a veteran of the United States Army. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He also love fishing, hunting and gambling.

James is survived by his wife Shelley Woody of the residence; children and their spouses, Joe and Donna Woody of Rock Springs, Michele and Brent Frankenberger of Rocky Face, Suzie and Tony Blansit of Cohutta, Robin and Chad Tyler, Heather Barrett and Melinda and Caleb Zilbert all of Dalton; sister, Dianne Liner of Dalton; grandchildren, Trinity Woody, Blake Frankenberger, Taylor Blansit, Tyler Blansit, Triston Blansit, T.K. Blansit, Paisley Zilbert and Ava Zilbert; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Scroggs officiating.

Burial will follow at 2 p.m. in the Chattanooga National Cemetery with the American Legion Post #112 in charge of military rites.

The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home on Tuesday after 5 p.m.
