Ruby Roberts

Mrs. Ruby Houston Roberts, 87, of Dalton, passed away, Friday August 12, 2016 at Hamilton Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late, Claude and Lilly Cornelison Houston and was preceded in death by her husband Earnest Edward Roberts and all of her brothers and sisters. Ruby was senior class president and valedictorian of Dalton High School class of 1945. She was a member of Dalton First Baptist Church. Ruby was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Ginger and Mike Robinson of Dalton and Kay and Chip White of Enterprise, AL; grandchildren, Roby (Marisha) Robinson, Richy (Joy) Robinson, Laney White and Marshall (Kirstin) White; great-grandchildren, Ella Robinson and Luke Robinson; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday from Dalton First Baptist Church Chapel with the Rev. Phillip Cannon officiating. Burial will be in Whitfield Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends in the Atrium of the Church on Sunday from 1 p.m. until the funeral hour at 3 p.m. Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to The Family Support Counsel, P.O.
