Maurice Kenton (Buddy) Lusk Sr. 92 went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 13, 2016. He was born in Knoxville, TN on January 23, 1924. He attended Knoxville High School and graduated from The University of Tennessee where he was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity and The Baptist Student Union. During World War II, he served in the United States Army Chemical Warfare Unit in Europe. He worked at International Harvester Co. as a Zone Manager in Knoxville, TN. He and his family then moved to Dalton, GA in 1963 - - working at Brooker Motor Co. - - which later became Ron Epps International. He was co-founder of Olympic Truck Leasing where he served as President. He was an active member of First Baptist Church where he served as Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, member of Building Committee, and Pulpit Committee. He enjoyed reading from the Book of Proverbs to his Sunday School Class for newly married couples for many years. He was a long time active member of the Dalton Kiwanis Club. He greatly enjoyed his vegetable garden and woodworking shop on Saturday afternoons listening to the Metropolitan Opera on the radio. After he retired, he used his skills to volunteer for Habitat for Humanity for many years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Grace Tillery and Von Beecher Lusk, and brother James Tillery Lusk. His is survived by his wife of 65 years -Sarah Warwick Lusk, daughters Judith Ann Lusk of Dalton, Kathryn Lusk Fowler (Bill) of Marietta, and son Maurice Kenton Lusk, Jr (Donna) from Dalton, grandchildren Ryan Mullinax, Daniel Mullinax both of Marietta, Blake Lusk of Destin, FL, Allie Lusk of Dalton, and nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Following a private family memorial service, visitation will be in the Atrium of Dalton First Baptist Church located at 311 N Thornton Ave, Dalton, GA 30720 on Friday September 16, 2016 from 11:00am -12:00pm. Family asks that flowers be omitted. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Wood Dale Health and Rehabilitation for their care and compassion.
