Lauren Nicole Tucker

Miss Lauren Nicole Tucker, 23, of Cohutta passed away Sunday, September 11, 2016 at Hamilton Medical Center. She was preceded in death by father, Greg Tucker and grandfather, Murphus Tucker. Lauren was a 2011 graduate of Northwest Whitfield High School and a graduate of Dalton State College with a degree in nursing. She worked at Regency Park and loved music, singing and helping others. She is survived by her parents, Tammy and Jeff Mathis; sister, Lexie Tucker; and brothers, Luke Mathis and Jake Mathis all of Cohutta; grandmothers, Velma Summey of Rocky Face, Jackie Rickett of Dalton and Betty Mathis of Blue Ridge; grandfather, Robert Hammontree of Ringgold; grandparents, Roy and Sara Mathis of Mableton, GA; special friend, Brittany Miles of Dalton; aunts and uncles, Darlene and Dean Turner, Cheryl and Eugene Gentry, David Tucker, Doug and Alison Tucker, Joseph Summey, Missy and Robert Lay, Tonya and Kevin Powell, Chris and Suzanne Hammontree, Robin and Terry Carter; cousins, Jeremy and Jennifer Gentry, Sandra Turner, Steven and Radsamy Turner, Hayley Tucker, Matthew Tucker, Chelsea Ewton, Morgan Ewton, Laney Powell, Colby and Lauren Carter, Heath and Irma Sage, Devin and Heather Sage. Funeral services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Bruce Beach officiating. Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery.
