Mr. J. C. Langford, 88, of Dalton passed away Thursday, October 13, 2016 at Murray Medical Center. He was the son of the late J. A. and Bessie Steelmon Langford and was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Quarles Langford; grandson, Jon Langford; brothers, V.S. Langford and Will Dee Langford; sister, Betty Martin. J. C. was a veteran of the United States Navy having served during W.W. II. He was also a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He is survived by his children and their spouses, Sandra McCarley, Larry and Sue Langford and Danny and Cindy Langford all of Dalton; sisters and brother-in-law, Margie and Johnny Muse and Mildred Coley all of Dalton; grandchildren, Mitzi (Ricky) Reed, Tammy (David) Manly, Mac (Shea) McFadden, Melanie (Buckie) Burgess, Todd Langford and Tyler Langford; great-grandchildren, Jennifer (Jon) Wilson, Holly Hennessee, Haley (Blake) Bennett, Cody Manly, Rylee Hennessee, Laura Beth Manly, CC Burgess, Hank Burgess, Mattie Burgess, Will Burgess, Ashley Joyce and Zach Reed; great-great-grandchildren, Caleb Wilson, Peyton Wilson, Noah Wilson, Nathan Braddy and Branson Joyce; nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Jeff Bramblett and Ross Jordan officiating. Burial will be in Whitfield Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home on Saturday from 11:30 a.m. until the funeral hour at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Calvary Baptist Church, 2115 Chatsworth Hwy.
