Jacob "Jake" Harrison

Dr. Jacob Rowland Harrison, 72, of Dalton passed away October 10, 2016.

Jake practiced medicine at Dalton OB-GYN for over 30 years and brought over 7,000 babies into this world.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Nancy Ragsdale Harrison and his parents, Jacob Rowland Harrison and Mary Elizabeth Harrison.

Jake is survived by his wife, Sharon Ellis Harrison; daughter, Margaret Anne Wood; sons and daughters-in-law, James Michael Harrison, Michael Reese Moore and Lorie Aldredge Moore, and Matthew Ellis Moore and Tracy Williams Moore; grandchildren, Mary Catherine Wood, NancyClaire Wood, Dory Anne Wood, Michael Reese Moore, Evy Kathryn Moore, Caroline Nash Moore, and Sarah Loise Moore; sister and brother-in-law, Lucy and Lamar White; nieces, Marla White and Marie White; nephew, Marc White.

A private memorial service will be held at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church with Rev. Beth Royalty officiating.

A celebration and receiving of friends will be held in the parish hall of the church on Wednesday, November 9 from 11:00 until 2:00.
