Byron Duckett

Mr. Byron V. Duckett, 65, of Dalton passed away Saturday, October 29, 2016 at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta. He was preceded in death by his father, Lester F. Duckett and grandparents, William Dave and Maggie Dotson Duckett. There are no words that will ease the loss of such a brilliant, creative, quirky and one of a kind character. His laughter and presence will be greatly missed. Byron is survived by his best friend and love of his life, Jenny Hayes of Chatsworth; children, Christa Duckett Bagley and Leslie Duckett Grimes both of Dalton and LeAnn (Cody) Childers of Fairmount, GA; mother, Arnetta Lewis Duckett of Dalton; grandchildren, Hope Bagley, Halle Bagley, Zach Coleman, Bailey Grimes, Londyn Childers and a baby boy expected in March; sisters and brothers-in-law, Wilma Cucksee Morgan and Bill Morgan, Tena and Ricky Stines all of Varnell; brother and sister-in-law, Daymon and Debbie Duckett of Dalton; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 2 PM on Friday in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Charlie Bridges officiating. Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery.
