Mrs. Becie Owen Cochran, 99, of Dalton, passed away Saturday, August 1, 2009 at her residence.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe B. Cochran, Sr.; her son, William Randolph Cochran; sons-in-law, Mike Vinson, Joe Stuart, Jimmy Clay, Doug Martin, Walter Baker and Harold Mann; brothers, James Owen and Oliver Owen; sisters, Fannie Ellis and Bessie Lee Goswick.
Becie is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Jureda Mann of Rocky Face, GA., Kathleen Clay, Gwen and Ernie Gregory, Jeanette Pitzer all of Nashville, TN., Rilla and David Burnett of Calhoun, GA., Melba and Jack Dodson of Dalton and Wanda Vinson of Dalton; sons and daughters-in-law, J.B. and Janie Cochran, Wayne Cochran all of Dalton, Lamar and Bonnie Cochran of Calhoun, GA., Jerry and Linda Cochran of Missouri; sister, Ruth Redwine of Dalton; sisters-in-law, Kate Hawkins, Mildred Pelfrey, Eddie Goswick, Willie McGuire and Ruby Owen; special friend, Bobby Faith; grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren totaling 114; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2 P. M. Monday in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Jennings Neeld and Eddie Cochran officiating.
Burial will follow in Cove Methodist Cemetery with Danny Cochran, Scoty Cochran, Mike Baker, Keith Martin, Kevin Gregory and Kinsley Cochran serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Sunday from 6 to 9 P.M.
