Mr. Philip Easton “Phil” Bailey Jr. of Dalton passed away Friday, December 16, 2016 at Hamilton Medical Center.
He was the son of the late, Philip Easton Bailey, Sr. and Evelyn Liddon Bailey and was preceded in death by his wife, Jimmie Bates Bailey in 2005; brother, Harris Pete Bailey and sister, Sue Greene.
Phil was the former owner of Whitfield Memorial Gardens; a member of the Dalton First Baptist Church and was a member of the Dalton Elks Lodge and past president of the Georgia Elks.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Philip Bates Bailey and Dell of Dalton; daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Jim Hite of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Natalie Bailey and David Eubanks of Greenbelt, Maryland, Melissa Bates Bailey of Chicago, Allison Bailey Beard of Brighton, CO, Philip James Hite of Atlanta, Nicholas Bates Hite and Aly Hite of Atlanta; nieces and nephews, Randy and Sherri Bates of Dalton, Betty and Ron King of CA, Pete and Lou Bailey of Atlanta, Philip and Elana Green of Dunwoody, Wilson and Ann Green of Thornton, CO.
Services will be Tuesday at 1 PM at Dalton First Baptist Church with Rev, Phillip Cannon officiating and Burial will be in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends in the Atrium of First Baptist Church from 11:30 until the hour of the service.
