Opal Lee Smith Wilson

Mrs. Opal Lee Smith Wilson, 84, of Dalton, passed away Friday, August 7, 2009 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.
She was the daughter of the late, Ben and Josie Smith and was preceded in death by her sisters, Alma Rolen, Pearl Gilmaster, Bernice Suggs and Dimple Long; brothers, Hulen Smith and Douglas Smith.
Opal Lee is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Denton H. Wilson of Dalton; daughter and son-in-law, Pat and Larry Edwards of Dalton; grandchildren, Leanne and Trey Gaskins of Marietta, GA.; great-grandchildren, Katie Gaskins, Anne Gaskins, Emily Gaskins and Grace Gaskins; brother and sister-in-law, Vincent and Dimple Smith of Dalton; sisters and brothers-in-law, Ann Earnest, Jean and Charles Arrington, Martha and Ernest Poteet all of Dalton; nieces and nephews also survive.
Services will be Monday at 3 P.M. in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Rogers officiating.
Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home Sunday from 5 to 8 P.M.
