Hazel Nix

Mrs. Hazel Clifton Nix, 90, of Dalton passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at Hamilton Medical Center.

She was preceded in death by her husband Claude Nix Sr. in 2013 and by her parents, Wiley E. and Bessie Clifton.

Hazel was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church where she was the director of the preschool for several years.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Claude Nix Jr. of Rocky Face, Rodney and Sandi Nix of Dalton, and Doug and Etta Nix of Cartersville; 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be on Saturday at 3 p.m. in West Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Hoyt Jenkins officiating.

The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home on Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 901 Veterans Drive, Dalton, Ga. 30720.
